#At least 18 people have been killed in a fresh attack on a community about 70 kilometres from Jos#. A plateau state lawmaker Titus Allams blamed it on a fulani militia but there is no independent confirmation of the attack which was said to have been launched in the early hours of thursday He added that soldiers later killed about six of the gunmen in a subsequent raid on their hideout The police authorities have yet to comment on the development END

Nigeria’s anti graft agency has secured a restraining order on the United Kingdom accounts of beneficiaries of fuel subsidy fraud in the country EFCC chairman Ibrahim Lamorde says the commission is now formalizing ways of repatriating the funds to Nigeria. Lamorde told the visiting British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Andrew Pocock that the restraining order is as a result of the good relations EFCC had with the UK in recent times.
